If you would prefer to have a bedstead frame but are limited for space at the foot of the bed, an alternative to a headboard and divan set is a platform bed. This retains the advantages of a bedstead, being raised from the ground and having large storage underneath, but is excellent for smaller rooms or where an open aspect is preferable. Another option is a low bed frame, which is a bedstead frame without a headboard or a foot board. This can be positioned against the wall, where a padded headboard may be attached.
An alternative to the bedstead, with a bed base, is the divan base, which simply sits on the floor. We provide antique metal headboards suitable for divans in all sizes and most styles. These are attached directly to the wall, with the divan pushed up to the headboard. We do not currently have headboards listed on this website.
